Rio Haina

The Port of Haina, is located at the mouth of the Haina River, west of the town of the same name, at latitude 18° 25 and longitude 70° 00 W. It has a depth of 28-35 feet with a depth of channel 35-foot entrance, a circle of maneuver 300 meters and a length of spring 3000 44 meters.

It is the busiest port of loading in the country, also has several port facilities distributed as follows: a) Eastern Margin .: Divided in 6A, 6B, 6C and 6D berths, totaling 700 meters of wharf that are regularly used for containers and bulk cargoes. In turn, the loading and unloading work is divided by using the dock of Recodo, Berth 5 Berth 4 for ro-ro vessels, general cargo, bulk cargo and bulk. The spring 3 is used to discharge fuel, chemicals and loose cargo. The spring 2 or FERSAN, used for loading and unloading bulk and packaging of fertilizers. The spring 1 is used for the discharge of oils and chemicals by the company National proteins. b) Net Occidental.- the west bank of the Port of Haina is composed Refinery Terminal, Terminal Multiquimica, Sargent Marine Terminal and trade Petroleum Terminal, consisting of springs 4.5 and 6 Occidental. In this part of the port handling chemicals, fuels, loose cargo, bulk and load vehicles. Investment, management and operations of the port are shared between the state and the private sector.
